European spatial planning: adapting to climate events (ESPACE)

The focus of the ESPACE project was to promote awareness of the importance of adapting to climate change and to recommend that it is incorporated within spatial planning mechanisms at local, regional, national and European levels.

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

It was established by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to provide the world with a clear scientific view on the current state of knowledge in climate change and its potential environmental and socio-economic impacts.

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)

NASA provides information on solar activity, sea level rise, the temperature of the atmosphere and the oceans, the state of the ozone layer, air pollution, and changes in sea ice and land ice. It is also a good source of satellite imagery.

National Climate Data Centre (NCDC)

NCDC is the world’s largest active archive of weather data producing climate publications and responds to data requests for the international community. NCDC operates the World Data Center for Meteorology and the World Data Center for Paleoclimatology

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is a US federal agency focused on the condition of the oceans and the atmosphere.
