Reducing adverse health impacts from flooding

A new review has looked at the health impacts of flooding – covering physical, psychological and social impacts. Commissioned by the Cheshire and Merseyside Directors of Public Health, the report will support the development of future strategies for dealing with flooding and flood risk. The report outlines some of the main actions that have been identified to reduce health impacts, including: mapping vulnerable groups, identifying high risk areas and assets and promoting a collaborative approach to share flood risk data.
