First ITRC output, the Fast Track Analysis report, now available

24 January 2012

The FTA study, A fast track analysis of strategies for infrastructure provision in Great Britain, suggests that carbon targets and rising global energy prices will be a driver of innovation in National Infrastructure. The report recommends the sectors involved to work more closely together to provide coordinated infrastructure systems as their networks become increasingly interdependent and complex. It also suggests the introduction of new measures to manage growing demand, like smart electricity meters, water meters and road pricing.

Why have we changed our look?

1 October 2011

UKCIP has updated its look to reflect changes to our organisation, name and funding. The end of our contract with Defra on 30 September has been the start of a new stage of work for UKCIP. We will build on our stakeholder-focussed work, based on our experience of working with many organisations in the UK and abroad, and supported by a range of partners.

All UKCIP’s existing tools and resources will continue to be available online, for free. In a further change, we will no longer be called the UK Climate Impacts Programme, but will simply be known by our acronym, UKCIP (pronounced “you-kay-sip”).
