The Living with Environmental Change (LWEC) initiative has published a report card looking at the impacts of climate change and water in the UK. The report considers trends in UK observed rainfall data (e.g. winter rainfall is tending to fall in intense events) and future changes in rainfall and its impacts on water (e.g. summer flows may decrease on average, but floods may become larger and more frequent). The report concludes that these changes will affect many parts of our lives, and will require long-term planning and adaptation measures.
Report cards currently in preparation look at infrastructure and health and wellbeing.
