Local authority adaptation resources

Climate Ready and Climate UK have published an updated suite of adaptation to climate change training materials for local authority officers, elected members and communities involved in the planning process. Key additions include a new user guide and the inclusion of targeted case studies that illustrate how policy translates into on the ground delivery.

Climate Ready has been working with CommunityPlanning.net to bring together a series of useful online guidance and case studies that will help community groups and parish councils adapt their communities to weather and climate risks. Feedback and ideas for case studies are invited to climatechange@environment-agency.gov.uk

Climate Local, the local government initiative on climate change, has new adaptation resources for local councils. ‘Climate-ready councils’ makes the broad business case for adaptation, and a series of themed briefing sheets provide case studies and examples of relevant actions.
