Land management and climate change – report by the Adaptation Sub-Committee

The Adaptation Sub-Committee (ASC) of the Committee on Climate Change has published a new report looking at the impact of climate change on goods and services derived from the UK’s land. ‘Managing the land in a changing climate’ reports that little progress has been made addressing climate risks, and proposes priority actions, including: reform of water abstraction, speedier progress on coastal realignment, increased peatland restoration and better enforced protection for wildlife habitats.
