UKCIP User Forum 2010
Tuesday 18 May 2010, Millennium Stadium, Cardiff
The day will provide: insight into existing work on climate change impacts and adaptation in the UK, and opportunities to meet and build links with others working in the impacts/adaptation community. There will also be practical exercises to assist information-sharing, and the chance to contribute to policy recommendations to send to the newly-elected UK Environment Minister.

| An exercise for all participants, to provide a UK-wide snapshot of climate change adaptation, and to promote links and share information. Information will be on display during the day. |

Developing adaptation narratives |
| Workshops to explore the best ways to communicate information about adaptation work. This will include: what information is useful to others, how should it be presented, what issues interest people; and the chance to test your ideas. |

Where is adaptation now and how can it make progress? |
| Workshop sessions will consider adaptation as it currently stands, what is needed to make further progress and what policy recommendations this might produce. Conclusions to be written up by UKCIP and presented to the UK Environment Minister. |

| This plenary session will include reflections on the day, with an opportunity for all to comment. There will also be a presentation from UKCIP’s Director, Dr Chris West, on the future development of adaptation in the UK. |
