The UK climate pages offer access to maps, datasets and guidance relevant to the UK Climate Projections (UKCP09). This new package of climate change information for the UK was released in June 2009.
These projections represent the current science, and are probabilistic in nature to allow users to assess the associated range of uncertainty. Click here to go to the website which contains information from the new projections, user guidance and
access to the user interface in order to customise your own output.
UKCP09 is funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural
Affairs (Defra) and modelled by the Met Office Hadley Centre, and is a key component of UK national and regional climate impacts assessments.
The
previous set of climate change scenarios, UKCIP02, are still available via the pages linked to the left. Please note that while the UK Climate Projections have superceded UKCIP02, the information has been kept live for research purposes, and where access to UKCIP02 is necessary for confirming adherence to existing standards and guidance.
