Climate Change Risk Assessment

The likely impacts of climate change on different sectors and regions are well-researched, with information on the possible future climate being analysed to produce the Climate Change Risk Assessment.

The CCRA  pulls together evidence and analysis, enabling UK Administrations to:

  • Understand the level of risk posed by climate change for the UK
  • Compare the risks posed by a changing climate with other pressures on the Government
  • Prioritise adaptation policy
  • Assess the costs and benefits of adaptation actions

The first cycle reported to Parliament by 26 January 2012. The assessment will be updated every 5 years, with the missing sectors included as information develops.
