The Low Carbon Futures project will be holding a final dissemination event in London on 10 September. The aim of this EPSRC-funded research project, part of the Adaptation and Resilience to a Changing Climate Coordination Network (ARCC CN), has been to produce a practical design method for adapting existing and new buildings to future climates without the need for sophisticated statistical understanding by the designer. This final event will highlight new research and promote discussion on:
- reducing overheating in a warming climate
- attitudes and awareness to the changing climate and its risks/opportunities to industry
- a new tool to predict overheating in future climates across the UK
The event will be chaired by the architect and sustainability consultant Bill Gething, and is aimed at building professionals and policy makers with an interest in achieving well-adapted buildings capable of performing well in future climates.
