Summary
The Port of Felixstowe carried out a high level climate risk assessment using the UKCIP Adaptation Wizard. Over the course of two workshops they identified some priority climate risks. These include the potential for power supplies to be disrupted, increased frequency of crane and pilot stoppages and combined sea level rise and storm surge causing increase in quays being overtopped.Although none of these were identified as high risks that require urgent attention, they are now better placed to manage the operational, health and safety and reputational risks posed by a changing climate.
