AdOpt
Identifying adaptation options (AdOpt) provides guidance on identifying and selecting adaptation options for use in responding to climate risks. It builds on the UKCIP Risk, Uncertainty and Decision-making Framework (Willows and Connell, 2003) and Measuring Progress (West and Gawith, 2005), providing information on the range of adaptation options available, along with practical examples. It presents a simple checklist which identifies key principles for good adaptation decisions.
It is written for decision and policy makers who are tasked with identifying and appraising the effectiveness of climate risk adaptation measures. It should be used as a companion piece to other UKCIP tools.
