The NHS Sustainable Development Unit has added a further adaptation case study to its portfolio. The two-page document describes the process of adapting to the health impacts of climate change in Islington, north London. While responding to cold-weather related risks was already established, a shift to ‘seasonal health’ planning helped to incorporate summertime heat-related risks, which then also supported the council’s existing adaptation strategy.
